Grandma Cree’s No Bake Cookies


2 c sugar
¼ c butter
3 tbs cocoa powder
½ cup milk
3 cups oats
½ c peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla


Cook sugar, butter, cocoa and milk together and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and add oats, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir together and drop by spoon fulls on wax paper.

    I just made these last night and they turned out great! My husband has issues with dairy, so I made it DAIRY FREE using coconut oil instead of butter and vanilla almond milk for the milk. I used a little less sugar so they wouldn’t be too sweet since the almond milk was sweetened. They turned out wonderful- you can’t even tell I made substitutions! Enjoy!
